Broad-billed Hummingbird Female Feeding Fledgling

Hummingbird nestlings leave the nest about 24-27 days after hatching. They are not able to fly very well and usually perch on a nearby branch. When the female returns to the area to feed the young the fledglings peep to let her know where to find them. This fledgling had been out of the nest about two hours when this video was taken. The video clip was taken at Beatty's Miller Canyon Guest Ranch in the Huachuca Mountains, Arizona . The video will start playing automatically after a brief download.
