Broad-tailed Hummingbird Male Feeding at Monarda Flowers

Broad-tailed Hummingbirds inhabit the mountains of the western U.S. and Mexico. The high pitched trill produced by the wings of the male in flight identifies members of this species long before they are seen. The trill of the wings can be heard in the video clip, especially at the end. This video clip was taken in the mountains outside Boulder, Colorado. The video will start playing automatically after a brief download.
